Curricullum of Achievement Leading to Membership in
The Society of Camp Directors

Personal Qualifications
•Candidate shall be at least 25 years of age.
•Candidate shall hold current membership in a recognized camping association in Canada.

Educational Qualifications
Candidate shall be a graduate of a recognized University, College of a comparable post secondary academic institution acceptable to the Society of Camp Directors.

Camping Experience and Operational Achievement Program
Candidate shall have completed a minimum of forty (40) weeks of experience as a staff member during regular operational sessions of an accredited camp, as follows:
• All camp work experience considered must have been gained after age 17
• All experience must have been accumulated in periods of at least four consecutive weeks
• A maximum of twelve (12) weeks of the forty (40) weeks of experience may be accumulated as a general counsellor or staff member
• A minimum of four (4) weeks shall be in major administrative role in association with a director of a camp who is a member of a recognized camping association
